LibreOffice Writer – Mixer Orientation Portrait & Paysage

Welcome to this LibreOffice Writer video We will see how to mix landscape and portrait orientation Orientation of this example is portrait because it applies the default page style… Orientation Portrait set in Page tab We want to go into landscape from here. Click here If we do Insertion Page Break, Ctrl+Enter (or use the toolbar) Writer inserts a break with current page style, in this case: portrait Use Insert>Manual break to specify the page style to be applied from this location: Landscape The landscape page style applies whose orientation is set to Landscape Page styles are one of the major assets of Writer… because they bring together in one place all the presentation attributes of pages Changing the layout of one or more pages, eg to have a different header or footer on some pages… is therefore very simple: just apply a corresponding page style Eg. to go back to portrait here… Click>Insert Manual Break and select Default style More information: manual page break is set in the 1st paragraph of the page concerned Right click 1st parag.>Paragraph>Text Flow tab Breaks>Insert>Before>Page Style: Landscape So we can also handle the application of page styles in this way Finally, remember that a manually inserted page break… can be deleted by the Delete keys Del removes what is after the cursor e.g. here Del deletes “?” that is right of the cursor Backspace deletes what is before the cursor e.g. here Backspace deletes “r” that is left of the cursor Just click before or after the page break and use Delete or Backspace e.g. click before page break, hit Del
