How to change the gender of the singer in different songs [Audacity Tutorial]


In this tutorial, I’m gonna be showing you how to
change the gender of the singer in different songs. It’s very easy to do, but it wont however work with every song. Songs made by Chris Daughtry and Nich Lachley has
for me the highest successrate so far. Today, I’m gonna be working with a song called
I’m going home, it’s made by Chris Daughtry. You need to import the file into Audacity. I’m going to show you how the song originally sounds. Okay, so now I want to change this guy into a girl. To do so, you need to select the whole
track. Either by drag in the timeline. Or you can click here. It’s much easier.
Press on “effects”. Then on “change pitch”. Percent Change=20
Press “OK” and you’re done! It will load for some seconds. It will go really fast. Now, everything is set up and we will listen to the result. As you could hear. It sounds just like a girl now. So, to save this file you need to press “File”, “Export as WAV” And then you just save it. So, that’s how to change the gender of the singer in different songs.

  1. for some songs tho the music sounds like shit 🙁 but the singing is amazing, do u know any way to change the pitch of the singing and not the music?

  2. Wow that's freaky good. Gotta try it. I wonder if it only worked because Daughtry is such a good singer. With my voice it may sound like crap.
