  1. He says "man" my favotite way. You know what I'm saying "meeaaan! "He should have gotten the Oscar for best actor in 1986 for this masterpiece of a performance.

  2. I don't think it's bad acting at all. I think he kind of heightens reality a bit, but hey, we all knew that guy in high school, didn't we?

  3. watching this movie is like seeing something really gross. It's so bad and terrible but you cant look away

  4. Bad acting? You critics wouldn't know bad acting if it hit you between the eyes. Glover and Hopper were the best actors in this superb movie. They OWNED the screen every time they appeared.

  5. it's awful acting, the accent is awful. i think anyone who thinks this was great is delusional.

it seems like he was doing a tongue in cheek thing in retaliation to the awful script. "duck down goddamn you!"

  6. The portrayals of these characters are much more similar to the people I grew up with and how they spoke and behaved than anything John Hughes ever directed. We watched Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles and Breakfast Club but we lived River's Edge.

  7. "YOU DONT EVEN CARE DO YOU?"—–SHIT, I WOULDN'T DRINK WARM BUTT–WIPER EITHER——–SHITTY CHEEP BEER THAT FOAMS UP TOO EASILY.

  8. This video has showed me the necessary tools for taking control of the FAAAhhKEYYYYYYYING YOUniverse.

  9. I'm amazed at the comments here calling River's Edge "funny". Really?

Yeah, great it is, and the characters are deeply disturbing and audaciously acted, but "funny"?

It's a real-life police case about a group of teens who covered for a friend who'd murdered his girlfriend, none of it for any particular reason. They simply had absolutely no empathy or humanity in them.

A super film, and Glover is a genius actor in it; but if you find it "funny", you'd better get some therapy, because you a

  10. Dude just shut the fuck up, and don't even bother replying because apparently you can't even finish a sentence.

  11. "Volkswagen Beetle" we used to call them Slug bugs. Cause when you would see them you wood punch the person your with.

  12. yea I remember that! We used to call them "Punch Buggy (insert color here)", then we used to punch the person we were with.

  13. He said, "you'd think I'd at least rate a michelob". So saying it's warm even is like saying it's warm too.

The director and Glover have already said that they intended for dark humor to be a part of this film….you duuuummmb fuck! 😉 Don't be an ingrate.

  15. Brilliant movie. Sounds like some of you missed the essence of this film. Or think people like this didn't exist. My old roommate was in Juvi at one time with the real guy who committed the murder. This was loosely based on a true story, but it took place in the South Bay/San Jose area, not in Sacramento.

  16. Great movie. I love the scenes with the teacher. Bizarre vibe most of the time with a real spooky score to march the film. I miss the 80s.

  17. Jeezus. I really paid money to see this 3 times when it was released. Well, I was going through a bit of a 'if Hopper's in it we're seeing it' phase.

  18. For the people commenting that this is not a funny movie, it's apparently necessary for me to state the obvious: nobody said this movie was funny. Only Crispin Glover's acting, which is unintentionally hilarious. The movie is decent, but how Glover got chosen for the role baffles me (and many others).

  19. I liked this movie but every time this idiot is on screen I want to jump through the screen and strangle him

  20. People like this do exist in real life though. The kind of people who think they're characters in a movie and try to talk all cool.

  21. Crispin Glover is painfully weird, I can't stand him or any of the roles he plays. how he gets cast in these parts is beyond reason. Not just this role, every role I've ever seen him in.
