Charlie Puth Announced as LA March For Our Lives Performer | Billboard News
March For Our Lives has officially announced Charlie Puth as the first performer for the Los Angeles branch of the movement taking place March 24. “I am honored to be performing…” Puth said in a statement. “It has been incredibly inspiring to see students across the country organize and mobilize and I am grateful to be able to lend my voice to their call for action.” The event taking place March 24 is in solidarity with the national March For Our Lives rally in Washington D.C. the same day. Both campaigns are being spearheaded by students aiming to stop the string of endless mass school shootings and promote safety for America’s youth and a push for commonsense gun control legislation. The movement came about in honor of the 17 lives lost in the Parkland, Florida high school tragedy on February 14. The Los Angeles event will take place downtown, kicking off at the corner of 6th Avenue and Spring Street before participants head to Los Angeles City Hall and Grand Park together, culminating with empowering speeches by students, teachers and community leaders.
